Students take 3rd place at Int'l Nano-Micro Technology Contest

Four UHEE and IEEE students, Brian Oshiro, Karlo Andrada, Ken Galvez, Kenny Luong, worked together to develop the “Vital Baby Monitor System” (VBMS) to address Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

Their work was presented and awarded third prize at the 2013 International Contest of Applications in Nano-micro Technologies (iCAN’13) attended by more than 5000 students from over 100 schools.

Congratulations to the students (and graduates) and their advisor, Dr. Aaron Ohta!
