Welcome to the Physical Electronics Laboratory / Micro-Innovation Center. The Physical Electronics Laboratory / Sensor Research and Devlopment Center (PEL- SRDC) was founded in 1976 by Dr. James Holm-Kennedy, for solid state research and development. The lab has moved to a new 6500 square foot facility which provide space for research, processing, testing, and computer use. In the Spring of 2004, the new facility was renamed the Physical Electonics Laboratory/Micro-Innovation Center. PEL facilities are available for undergrad, graduate and faculty research. The undergraduate laboratory and Senior project research enables students to receive hands-on fabrication training as well as a solid background in device electronics and practical laboratory operations. Graduate students are able to pursue thesis and dissartation projects in PEL while gaining valuable laboratory management experiece.
