Congratulations to Mitchell Matsumori-Kelly for being recognized as the Fall 2021 Outstanding Graduating Senior in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Mitchell is an electrical engineering major who has distinguished himself both through his outstanding academic record and through his achievement in software engineering accomplishments in projects and internships outside the classroom. Even during the challenging conditions of a pandemic, Mitchell managed to stand out as a self-motivated software development intern at both the Hawaiʻi Space Flight Laboratory (HSFL) and Nalu Scientific. At HSFL he worked remotely on the Artemis CubeSat Kit project, which aims to be a spaceflight-ready low-cost cube-satellite, where he stood out by not only reliably managing his own tasks but also reaching out to help other remote students to integrate their software tasks. He has also been consistently recognized not only for the technical skill-set he brings with him, but also for his adaptability and teamwork.
